Richard was given the accolade in recognition of his and his team’s hard work at Legal & General Homes’ Cross Trees Park development, a collection of 515 traditionally styled homes in the village of Shrivenham, Oxfordshire. Achieving ‘Pride in the Job’ status shows excellence in customer-focused site management and that the whole team is committed to delivering quality homes in vibrant, beautiful surroundings.
Judging for the Awards is rigorous. The current competition began in July 2019, with each site as-sessed across six key areas including consistency, leadership and technical expertise. Richard is one of the winners from a field of more than 11,000 entrants.
Subject to NHBC’s team of judges being able to visit sites over the next two months, the winners will now progress to the next stage of the competition, the ‘Seal of Excellence’ and Regional Awards that are planned to be announced at a series of virtual events in the autumn.
Richard Crawford, Project Manager at Legal & General Homes, said:
“This award is a recognition of the great work that everyone at Cross Trees Park has been doing over the past year to build quality homes and I’m very proud to be receiving it.
The timing makes it even more special considering the challenging nature of the last few months, and I have to thank everyone in the team for their attitude and continued dedication to consistently high standards.
I’d also like to thank the management team for their support and NHBC for organising the awards. For those of us who are lucky enough to receive one, it really does mean something.”
Commenting on the Awards, NHBC Chief Executive Steve Wood said:
“Pride in the Job has been pivotal in improving the quality of new homes so it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Despite the numerous challenges the industry has faced in recent times, the very best site managers of 2020 have kept their focus on delivering high-quality new homes for their customers.
At NHBC we are very proud of Pride in the Job, what it stands for and the impact it has had and continues to have across the sector.“As our new research shows, it’s no surprise that Pride in the Job winning sites have higher levels of homeowner satisfaction as these homes are without doubt among the best the country has to offer.”
